It is not even October and I am ready for the Halloween season. My fiancé and I have already gone a little crazy on the Halloween decorating and are hoping not to scare our neighbors too badly. We got some pretty spooktactular decor at Five Below and Dollar Tree this year.
As a makeup artist I am especially excited for the Halloween season because I am going to challenge myself to play with a variety of different makeup looks. This cat look is my first. AND-it's super easy. Below are some tips and tricks to creating this look.
TIP #1: FLUFF THOSE BROWS! After drawing my normal brows in I brushed them upward and set them with brow gel. It is that easy. You don't even have to fill them in. I chose to because I have very little brow hair.
TIP #2: THE CAT EYE. I mean, this one is pretty obvious. If you are a little nervous about creating a cat eye-YouTube it. There are SO many tutorials out there that can help! You can't be a cat without the cat eye!
TIP #3: PRESS ON NAILS! Girl-if you are a nail biter like myself than you know it is IMPOSSIBLE to have amazing nails such as these. I purchase the waterproof press on nails from CVS for less than $5 (there are always coupons and sales) and they last up to a week! These are essential for any Halloween look you are doing this year.
TIP #4: CAT LIP. I used a black eyeliner and filled in my upper lip, drew a line from my cupid's bow to my nose and filled in the tip of my nose. It was so easy!
I also added some whiskers and contoured my cheekbones for a more structured look. I put my hair in a messy bun, threw in a leopard print headband and a black turtleneck. It is the easiest costume and looks cool and sophisticated. It is a more put together version of the classic cat costume look.
